Tooth Fairy Beacon iPhone App Helps Children

The latest iPhone app doesn’t just teach kids about the tooth fairy, but also helps children in need be cured of painful dental problems.

The Tooth Fairy Beacon app lets children flit around in the tooth fairy’s world. The app is gender specific and has oral hygiene tips from America’s Toothfairy, complete with a personalized message for your child, a tooth scanner and beacon. There is even a digital postcard so your family and friends can learn about the exciting lost tooth through email, text, Twitter or Facebook.

The app was created by Digital Apparatus, a mobile entertainment company, in partnership with the Tooth Fairy and National Children’s Oral Health Foundation (NCOHF). This is a non-profit group whose goal is to eliminate America’s number one chronic childhood illness—pediatric dental disease.

Every day, more than 4 million children endure dental pain so excruciating they have issues with sleeping, eating and learning. The NCOHF Affiliates provides at-risk children with continuous, preventative, restorative and educational oral health care to try to break the cycle of dental disease.

Every time the Tooth Fairy Beacon app is downloaded on iTunes for $1.99, it will trigger a donation to help NCOHF Affiliates assist more kids who are in need of dental care. The donation will help the cause, and the app also helps teach children about proper oral health care so they don’t have to suffer teeth pain in the future.
