My Family Dentist San Antonio Office Experience

For me, going to Wurzbach Parkway Family Dental San Antonio office has always been a good experience. It is more relaxing than other dentist offices I have been to. For my three year old, though, I was a little nervous. He had never been to the dentist and I didn’t want him to have a bad experience like I did on my first time. He has a hard time sitting still and is painfully shy around strangers, so I was hesitant to take him to the teeth cleaning San Antonio office.

At the same time, I wanted to catch any problems or cavities he might have early, so that we didn’t have to deal with it later in his life (I have a niece who had to have the plaque scraped off of her teeth under anesthesia in the hospital because her parents never made her brush). I knew things wouldn’t be that bad, but it still scared me enough to want to get my son checked by a San Antonio dentist earlier rather than later. I made sure to prep him for it by saying a lot of good things about the dentist and we went together.

When we got there, the hygienist made him feel like a rock star. He loved all of the attention she gave him. He was nervous to open his mouth at first, but he got used to it. It really looked like he was having fun! And what a relief for me. It’s good to know that we can go to our San Antonio dentist twice a year and still have it be a fun experience for my son.
