First, we loaded up and headed north on a road trip!

That’s right! Dr. Klenke, Dr. Walters and part of our amazing staff took a trip to learn from the best of the best. Our journey took us about 96 miles north to the beautiful (and occasionally weird) city of Austin. There we met with dental and patient expert, Dr. Robert Frazer, who is considered the foremost authority in strategic planning and management in modern dentistry! He has perfected the art of the patient services and this is why we chose him to be our guide to the ultimate patient experience that we deliver at our office.

 

Who is the highly regarded Dr. Frazer?

Dr. Frazer is one of the most sought after experts in the modern dental industry! After owning a highly successful dental practice for over 28 years, he answered the call to become a dental consultant! He has been teaching the ins and outs of both dentistry and the patient experience for over 30 years. At Wurzbach Parkway Family Dental we are always looking for new ways to improve the quality of services that we offer our patients. This is how we knew that a trip to see Dr. Frazer and continue our education was exactly what we needed to take our patient experience to the next level!

 

What did we learn from our trip?

We learned many ways to help us to connect with our patients on a more personal level. This gives us the opportunity to learn about each patient’s problems, difficulties and ultimately their long-term oral health goals. We see this as very important, because our patient’s oral health affects their overall health as well! What we learned allows us to better educate our patients on the consequences of any dental health problems they may experience, as well as the benefits of dental treatments available. We know that knowledge is power! The more informed our patients are, the more educated their dental treatment decisions will be.

How can people expect this to change their patient experience?

One of the changes is expanding our patient exams. The Oral Systemic Link proves that oral health can affect a patient’s overall health. For this reason, we are focusing on not only treating dental problems, but also preventing them in the future. The easiest way to accomplish this is to get to know patients and their medical history more in depth, as well as stay up-to-date on their dental exams. We want our patients to play a more active role in their dental treatments. Our solution is to get our patients involved through actively informing them about dental health, treatment options and preventive dental actions that can improve their oral health for years to come. For many of our patients this means less time in our chair and more time enjoying their smile!

Through connecting with our patients and expanding exams, we believe that we will give our each of our patients the best experience the dentistry has to offer.
