Invisalign® is the invisible way to straighten, or align your teeth with clear aligners that are customized to fit and to progressively move your teeth—without metal wires or brackets. There are many benefits compared to braces, such as:
- Removable: Simply take out the aligners briefly to eat and drink during mealtimes and replace them when finished.
- Easier to clean teeth: Remove the aligners for daily brushing and flossing.
- Spend less time at the dentist: There are no metal or wires to adjust.
- Smile for the camera: Aligners are invisible and 100% clear. No one will notice that you’re straightening your teeth.
- More comfortable: Less irritation to your gums and no tooth pain since there’s no metal or wires.
The treatment consists of a series of aligners that will be worn approximately 22 hours a day and changed every two weeks. Each aligner is individually manufactured with specific and exact calculations using computerized technology.
This custom made treatment will allow you to transform your smile and appearance without interfering with your day-to-day life. The treatment offered at our San Antonio dental office is comfortable to wear and due to its invisible nature, people notice you- not your braces. See success stories of Invisalign here!

Invisalign vs. Braces
Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, and look similar to teeth-whitening trays. They are made of a thermoplastic material uniquely developed for the treatment plan.
Through the thermoplastic design, the aligners move and align the teeth through the correct placement of controlled force. The main difference is that these manage the force as well as the timing of the force. At each stage only certain teeth are allowed to move.
Making Aligners Fit for You
The Invisalign procedure is quite simple. During your consultation appointment X-rays, photos and digital impressions are taken to help the dentist plan a course of treatment. These digital impressions are sent to the company’s headquarters where they are used to create an accurate, 3-D model of the teeth. ClinCheck software is then used to simulate the movement of teeth during treatment to create a set of aligners that match your needs.
